12.8.2. LTC (audio) method
At the same time encoders from manufacturers, such as Kiloview, LiveU, and others, do not support SMPTE timecode.
Just for such cases we have implemented support for synchronization over audio channels.
Schematically it looks like this:
1. An LTC-generator is installed for each camera. It can be a smartphone or a specialized device (more on that below).
The task of the LTC generator is to synchronize with the NTP server and start generating an audio signal containing SMPTE timecode.
2. LTC-generator must be connected to the audio input of your camera.
For example, you can use the left audio channel for this purpose.
3. SRTMiniServer analyzes the incoming audio stream and reads the encoded SMPTE timecode, which is then used to synchronize the streams.
To generate such a special audio signal, there are essentially 2 options:
1. Use a smartphone (IOS, Android) with the installed LTC-generator application *
2. Use specialized devices called LTC-generator
