5.3. Caller SRT-Redundancy

Version 2.6.2 introduces a backup SRT (Call) stream receiving function via two independent channels.
The key feature of this solution is full compatibility with any SRT server, ensuring flexibility and reliability when integrating into existing infrastructure.

For instance, you can connect to your media provider via two independent network interfaces.
So if one network link is severed, the system will switch to the backup channel with maximum transparency for the user.

How to use

If you have SRT url then just "adapter" param to link and duplicate SRT url for each adapter.

we read SRT url by TWO networks adapters (192.168.1.91 & 192.168.1.92)

NOTES: use ipconfig command for list of IP addresses of your network cards

Comparison with SMPTE-2022-7

It's important to note that SMPTE-2022-7 requires specialized hardware, dedicated servers, and a specifically formatted source stream (with RTP headers).
Our SRT solution is much simpler, as it does not require any specialized SRT server and is designed to work with any SRT source.
Theoretically, achieving truly seamless switching like in the SMPTE-2022-7 standard is not possible for our method.
However, in practice, the switching occurs with minimal artifacts in very short time (1s)

When the main link was disconnected, switching to the backup occurred with minor artifacts in less than 1 second.
